Busy October Weekend

The first couple weeks of October can be busy around our house. Birthdays... sporting activities... it's a great time of year. And now Cutler gets to be a part of it all. Here's a look:

Event 1. My mom's (Mimi's) birthday was the 5th, so we celebrated Friday night with a dinner at Chuy's. Though he looks grumpy here, he really did enjoy watching all the activity.

Drool much?
Event 2. The Rangers have made the playoffs so we MUST support. Here's Cutler in on the action.

Gooooo Rangers!
Event 3. The Red River Rivalry. Every year, Oklahoma and Texas battle at the Cottonbowl for braggin' rights. Jeremy loves burnt orange. And I'm in to Crimson. Needless to say, we're better watching the game in different places. On Sunday, Cutler sported the winning colors.

Boomer!
I have a feeling that when C's old enough to decide for himself, he'll be throwing up the Longhorns like Daddy. But for now, I'll do my best to keep him on the side of all things Holy. And yes, the Sooners have scriptural back up.

Event 3. My birthday! Though I'm not excited about diving deeper into my thirties (I'm 32 now), I do love birthdays. I took the day off to spend with my boys (and go shopping with my mom). After getting Cutler out of bed, he had a card waiting for me on his dresser. It said "Mom" on the outside. And this was on the inside.

I will ALWAYS keep this birthday card. Kudos to Jeremy for making this and my whole day special. Speaking of special, my brother Nate was able to come to my family birthday dinner. And this is a picture I'll always love.

With all this fun over the past 3 days, maybe C will nap well for Mamaw today.
