Once upon a time, when cameras first came about, the subjects had to pose extremely still so as not to ruin the exposure. In fact, they were often given braces to hold their necks steady. For a toddler's sake, we are VERY glad that photographic technology has progressed. Case in point: our Yates/Jones family pictures. We had lofty intentions of creating pictures with beaming faces, all circled around our matriarch. However, when you attempt to take that pose at the end of a 2 hour session, your chances of happy faces on a 4 month old, 2 year old and 3 year old (all at the same time) have decreased significantly. But kudos to Amanda Riddle for capturing what she could.
As is his custom, Cutler would not smile because there was too much to study & process.
And because I'm a sappy mother, I love the next picture for the simple fact that it's our first, professional family pic.
And of course, I love my boys.
Full family picture - Take 1 features Cranky, Disinterested and Cheese-y.
And I believe what we'll consider the winner (which was somewhere around Take 50, I lost count) still features and very tired little boy. Sorry Mamaw. But not bad considering...
