A Letter to My Love

Dear Jeremy,

Today I have been married to you for 8 years. Exactly 8 years ago today, this is what we looked like. What were you? Like 14?

Sigh. I loved that face then. And I still love it now. I know it like my own, yet I learn something new every day. You are my comfortable best friend, yet I continually get surprised. (I mean, who knew you liked red velvet cake?)

I have learned that you are fiercely dedicated to your passions (your family, your job, your country, your God). I have learned that nothing makes you laugh harder than watching people get scared/pranked. I have learned that you fill our boys' worlds with adventure and fun and stability. And you make it look easy. I have learned that you are always on your phone, but if the conversation is longer than 5 minutes, you must be talking to your best friend, Keen. I have learned that you are great with children (not just our own). I have learned that while you might not ever ask for help, you love to help others. I have learned that you're quite smart financially. And that you would love me forever if I would just give in and let you buy a 4-wheeler and a jeep. But hey, you're gonna love me forever anyway. :)

This walk was one of the best walks I ever took.

And I still love walking next to you (when I can keep up, of course). Can't wait to see what I learn of you in the next 8+.
As I've said before, all I want for Christmas is still you, Jeremy Jones. I love you.

Yours Always,
Jamie
