So I dress the boys up in matching outfits. I dress up myself. I dress up Jeremy. And I have visions of perfect fall-themed family portraits.
Reality? It's hot. It's dusty. And the boys have little interest in smiling for a camera. So perhaps next year's focus will be to forget the pics, dress cool and go just for fun.
Nevertheless, I will post a few pics from this year's attempt.
I am a creature of habit. So much so that my three year old instantly ran to the "This fall I'm this tall" scarecrow and said, "Here you go, Mommy." Bless him. (Let it be noted that I had intended for the boys to be in jeans and boots for the ultimate fall-ish look. I was overruled by both the boys and the heat.)
Bonus of the day: my dad was in town! He drove down to surprise me for my birthday. This means he was also subjected to the heat and misery of the Pumpkin Patch. Hee hee.
Cutler had to have his picture taken with every single member of the Paw Patrol. I spared you all but two. You're welcome.
Mommy, take our picture with Marshal! |
Mommy, take my picture with Chase! |
I had to beg for this one. |
The hay was itchy. |
Itchy hay removed. Scrunchy face still there. |
I tried long and hard for dual smiles in this next picture. And this was the most salvageable. I call it the GQ pose. (Hey, you have to work with what you get.)
Oh squishy knees, how I love you. |
And now I shall eat this rock. |
Yeah, this sums it up.
Ha! You just THOUGHT you were getting good pictures. |
