Crew Goes to the Aquarium

Oh, Crew Bean. Any chance you want to stay little forever? Because I'm not sure this momma's heart can handle watching her baby grow up. I know, I know. If this is how I feel about the 2nd birthday, kindergarten will wreck me. Don't even mention high school graduation. Just don't even.

Crew has turned two. And we celebrated one of my most favorite days with a family adventure. Hello Dallas World Aquarium.

This first picture was intended to chronicle the start of the fun. But I think it better chronicles how alike these two are.

Truth be told, the first exhibit was novel. But everything after only earned about a 2-second gaze. Crew mainly liked walking up and down the twisty path.

But hands-on interaction increased the interest level slightly.

The big tank was minute-worthy.

And the sharks. Well... what boy doesn't like sharks?

We decided to stop at the jaguar exhibit for a snack break.

And then while I was busy taking this selfie...

... the decidedly hungry jaguar was eyeing the boys' fruit snacks. Or the boy snacks. We're not sure which. Regardless, jaguar decided to take a running lunge at them. It was pretty awesome, actually. (Says the people on the OTHER side of the glass.) Unfortunately, neither Jeremy nor I could snap the picture fast enough. But this one still makes me laugh. Look at Crew's face...

Crew be all like, "Don't be taking my fruit snacks, cat."

We ended the excursion by buying ridiculously priced souvenirs. Like this one.

And just like that, the day was over.
I love you "froo and froo," Crew Lucas. Yesterday, today and tomorrow too.
