So Much to Thank God for

The Thanksgiving holiday was a quiet one for my little family this year. We road-tripped to Kansas to see Dad in the early part of November. And then all of our local parents were traveling the day of... so we rested! I missed my extended family time. But I was also thankful for the simplicity.

Know what else I'm thankful for? That Cutler's Thanksgiving Feast was slightly better than the previous year's fiasco. He at least sang. Though the enthusiasm was a smidge lacking.

I'm thankful for this man. For the husband he is to me. And the father he is to our boys.

Jeremy was on shift Thanksgiving Day. So we spent the day at the fire station. Cutler wanted to stay longer as evidenced by this pic.

I'm thankful for the men that serve in this capacity. And the love they have for it.

I am so ridiculously thankful for the little family God gave to me. These three men belong to the Lord, but He is allowing me their presence in this life. And I wonder at it daily.

This post would be the never-ending kind if I listed all the ways God has provided. My heart bursts with it. These blessings of His. But maybe I can sum it up this way: I am thankful for the God of all creation, of Heaven and Earth, who gives and takes away, who acts justly, bestows mercy and loves deeply. He is enough.
